I’ve never really thought of myself as a double-denim kind of girl but for some reason this summer I’ve been drawn to this hit or miss trend!
It started with a dress from the Oasis Loved By Mollie collection which I immediately wanted thanks to its elegant and minimalistic silhouette. Super flattering, the perfect length and a versatile piece for the season, I just had to add it to my wardrobe the moment I laid eyes on it.
From there I started to get major denim jacket envy but was a little tentative to try any on as the last time I wore one was quite some years ago, like when I was still at school! But on a recent trip to Topshop and a browse in the petite section, I found my ideal style. A little Nineties, comfortable and a great cover-up for chilly summer days – I was sold!
Then once the British weather was kind enough to let the sun out for a weekend I took my double denim ensemble for a spin, adding a pop of colour to the look in the form of a bright yellow bag and a modern/grunge twist with a pair of cleated sandals.
